A New Year is upon us. Whether we admit it or not, somewhere in the depths of our hearts, we keep promises and dreams that we aim to fulfill one day or another. But as months and days go by, we lose track of those promises; and the burning desire that kindles those dreams will soon… Read More New Year Resolution No More!
On that first day of AVPI 2011, teachers and students and everyone else were in a flurry of activity, hustling and bustling to get to their classrooms. Everybody was excited, and each person eager to learn something new and understand more of God’s Word. As the God-given teacher took his place up front, students also… Read More In a Relationship
It was June 2011 when I posted this on my blog. Reading back, I could still feel the intense emotion and gratitude that I felt from this event. A.V.P.I is not just an ordinary Bible School for me. It was the event that was used by God to wake me up from the reality of my spiritual life. I have been saved long before this but the growth in my Christian life had been so slow and almost stagnant.
For me, it’s a wake-up call. I venture to so many things but the one matters most was almost completely taken for granted. Thankfully, my God is still merciful and He has never forgotten me.… Read More An Open Letter to A.V.P.I
Worshipping God, fellowships, preaching, and blessings those are the memories I wouldn’t forget.
It was May, 2011, I was 12 years old, and a ministry was born, an instrument that would later be used by God, a ministry founded by Godly men guided by the Holy Spirit named AV 1611 Primer Institute.… Read More Precious Memories
As we all know, cars are designed for land transportation. But, if a car had a mind of its own and it decided to shift from travelling on land to flying or sailing, we all know that disaster would follow. The wheels of a car are made to roll on land, but when it deviates from the very object that it was designed for, namely the ground, and begins driving off a cliff or jumping in water, it will only hurt itself and others.… Read More A Study on Idols
“I could stand here and tell you what I used to be
I could tell of the change that’s come over me
for the Lord shed His Grace when He died on the tree
So I’ll let the blood Jesus shed speak for me… Read More I am What I am Because of His Grace
“Some are missionaries, some are moochinaries, some are vacationaries, and some are stationaries.”
David Livingstone, William Carey, Adoniram Judson, C.T. Studd, William Grenfell, Hudson Taylor, John Paton, Jim Elliott, George Muller…the list could go on and on. We could cite the names of Christian men whom God used in the past to bring His word to people ignorant of His love. We admire how God performed miracles to open the eyes of the sinners through the lives of these men yet they lived in the years gone. Yes, there are still Godly men who yield themselves to God’s calling to step out from beyond their comfort zones, share the Truth and start churches, and I could name a few of them. Oh, but a few! Hardly have I heard of Christian young men who are ready and willing to be of service to the King in becoming a missionary. Perhaps God has already given many of them the burden for sharing the Word in a strange land. But why do we see and hear of only a few?… Read More Encouraging Biblical Missions
And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin. Romans 14:23
This very Word of the Lord spoke to me one night in a preacher’s message during one evening worship service. I was a working mom and I have been hearing a lot of preaching on being a “keeper at home” and for what purpose why it exists in the Bible.… Read More Living by Faith
God moves in many different ways. He uses circumstances for us to know He exist. Sometimes I tend to over analyze situations when things go differently from what I expected. Some people would react differently from what the said norm is. And portion of them would ask why did God allow things to happen to good people?… Read More No One Beats the Invisible
This question triggers a lot in my mind when I read it last 2 years ago. And it forever changed my heart and the way I play.
I’m not a protégé. I wasn’t born with the gift of playing the piano in my fingertips. But because I have Godly parents, influenced by a God-led missionary, they enrolled my sister and I to piano lessons which we had to attend every week, whether we like it or not. Consistent – my parents were. After two years of attending weekly lessons, I wanted to give up. I asked – no – I begged my parents not to let me continue taking piano lessons. But they didn’t give in.… Read More Why Do You Create Music?
